Dear Porto Bellagio Owners,

Election season is upon us, and today I am announcing my candidacy for the 2026 Board of Directors, with elections concluding on December 10, 2025.

My top priority is clear: I will work to roll back the recent 38% HOA fee increase that forces us all to overpay thousands of dollars each year for projects that may or may not happen 10, 20, or even 30 years from now. This increase is excessive, unnecessary, and punishes every owner today for the uncertain plans of tomorrow. I believe in financial balance — reasonable reserves, not endless overcollection.

My Qualifications

I hold a Master of Engineering degree and have over 15 years of experience managing large-scale public infrastructure projects funded by taxpayer dollars in both US and Canada, with an aggregate budget exceeding $50 million. My professional experience includes contract and subcontractor management, budget oversight, and adherence to the professional engineering standards and ethics required by my active Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license. I bring a technical and ethical mindset to every decision — because in engineering, accountability and precision matter.

My Record of Results at Porto Bellagio

During my time as your Director, I worked hard to protect owners’ interests - because they are my interests as well:

  • Saved over $5 million for all Porto owners by conducting a fair, competitive bidding process for the façade and garage repair project. The prior management wanted to sole-source the contract for $8 million — I ensured we got it done for $2.7 million, with the same scope of work - not mopre, not less.
  • Uncovered years of mismanagement and misuse of association funds and resources that had benefited former management’s personal business interests. I will continue to seek possible recovery.
  • Delivered visible, meaningful quality of life and enjoyment improvements to daily life at Porto Bellagio — new gym equipment, upgraded Wi-Fi, and modern pool furniture, among many others.

These are tangible results, achieved through professional diligence, swift work and transparency — not politics.

My Commitment Going Forward

If elected, I will continue to prioritize efficiency, transparency, and fairness. My immedeate work plan includes:

  1. Redoing the budget to eliminate unnecessary collections that burden us all.
  2. Improving management efficiency — faster responses, better visibility, and proactive action instead of talk.
  3. Focusing on community quality — cleaner grounds, completed projects such as Cameras, BBQ areas, new bathrooms (which were already funded), and a stronger sense of pride in our shared home.

Together, we can make Porto Bellagio a place that is well-managed, fair, and financially reasonable — not a future cash stockpile for future interests of someone else.

I am running not only to save you money, but also to save myself money. Because I also live here, and I want a high-quality life that is sustainable and affordable for all of us.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. Let’s make Porto Bellagio better — together.
